Speaking the Truth

We don’t like to speak the truth about evil because we’re going to hurt somebody. Let me tell you, you are going to hurt somebody, but that Somebody is God. If you would rather hurt God than your neighbor, there is something wrong with your spirituality. It’s your obligation to speak the truth and everyone can either take it or leave it. But truth must be in us. We live in such poverty of the truth today.

Silent No More

This week was the March for Life. This week, the pro-life movement is fighting hard for the dignity of women and our right to choose. We have the right to choose abstinence. We have the right to choose to say no to sex. We have the right to choose to date a guy for a while before we marry him. We have a right to choose our life path.

We have these rights. And we should have these rights without criticism from society. I found this great video from Silent No More Awareness. It is a campaign to bring women out of the dark about abortion and let them know that others feel their pain. It's also to raise awareness for those who may be facing an abortion.

These women you will see here in this video were not told about the negative effects this abortion may have on them. These women were told that abortion would fix their problems. And now they are here to tell us differently:

We have lots of rights though, not just those you listed. I can have dignity and HAVE sex. Unmarried sex. It's my right and I shouldn't have folks like you look down on me.

You're absolutely right. You do have that right. I was writing this post in support of those who choose these things I listed above because it supports the pro-life movement. There are folks out there dedicating their lives to promoting these rights and trying to dignify them again and are highly criticized. I wasn't writing to down anyone who chooses different paths.

The fact is is that practicing abstinence is looked down upon also. So I hope that you return the same respect and don't look down on me when I choose to practice my life in a different way than you.

Amen! Instead of saying to girls to go out and have sex if it makes you feel good, but be safe, we should be teaching them to be responsible with their body.

There is a natural law to the way the world works, and sex was created for the main purpose of reproduction.

Therefore, natural law would suggest that we as rational beings would understand that pro-creation may happen, even unintentionally, while having sex and that abortion is not an option.

I say this because the baby that is created, even when just a few days old, has all the DNA that a one-day-old newborn has.

It is ok for us to accept abortion, even when we know it is life we are killing.

Say if that life were to be on Mars, we would spend millions of dollars protecting it and researching how it came to be. Yet, here we are, scientifically have already proved life begins at the moment of fertilization, and it is ok to kill that life - all because it can't protest its own killing?

Having sex as a rational, thinking adult, is a choice we make, but please also understand that by making that choice you have chosen the possible consequence of getting pregnant.

Don't kill a baby because you had fun while having sex. All pro-lifers want is the education of explaining where the "choice" lies.

Have a great day!
