Speaking the Truth

We don’t like to speak the truth about evil because we’re going to hurt somebody. Let me tell you, you are going to hurt somebody, but that Somebody is God. If you would rather hurt God than your neighbor, there is something wrong with your spirituality. It’s your obligation to speak the truth and everyone can either take it or leave it. But truth must be in us. We live in such poverty of the truth today.

What a Day

Whew! Today has proven to be quite the challenge. I feel like the closer I get to God, and the more people that I meet, whether online or in person, that are also close with God, the devil just tries to make his way in there!

The morning started off good (the checklists worked nicely actually), and it continued to be good until I started helping my son clean his room. The one thing about Christmas that makes me grumpy is the tons of toys that I have to try to organize! It drives me crazy! I just want to throw out every single old toy and replace them all with all the new stuff they got. It just doesn't feel like Christmas when I have to feel that way. It's like the message about Christmas is lost in lots of gift-giving. Which is OK, but I just don't know what to do with it all.

So this story actually ends good, so hang in there! I called my husband, and told him that I needed some help with the kids so that I could get up to the bedrooms and try to organize everything. See, we like to keep a few toys for the kids to keep for when they have kids of their own, so those are in storage too. ANYWAY! He was in a meeting, so I left that message for him. I started making lunch and thinking about what I needed to DO to make this better. Like buy a nice shelf for my son's room and also make sure we get rid of some toys, seriously. I thought maybe we could go to the store where we bought his bedroom furniture and take a look at what they have.

My husband sends me back a text with the same idea!! Isn't that funny?! I couldn't believe that we were thinking of the same thing at the same time. Kind of eerie isn't it? Or is it God working His magic?? I love Him (and my hubby too!!).

I love when that happens! Yesterday, I told my hubby that I had ordered Led by Faith, and he said that he was just about to tell me to order it! (Think we're supposed to read it?)

Same thing happened to me with the movie Facing the Giants, not too long ago. Still haven't watched it, but I did order it on netflix and it is supposed to be here today or tomorrow!

Isn't God funny like that?!

And by the way SaChay, I haven't looked into it yet, but a company called Pius Media is supposed to be like NetFlix, but with all religious videos. I think it's mainly Catholic. I have to check it out though. I hear good things about it.

Thats neat! I've never heard of it before. Since my Husband and I have been married we haven't had cable TV or Satellite. I've always tried to censor what we watch. We've had Netflix for about a year now. We do watch regular movies and TV shows through netflix, but I usually try to read the mpaa ratings. Here lately I haven't been doing so well with that, I need to get back into the routine. Before our house caught fire this past May, I was great about being organized and having routines. But since we have moved back in this past October, I can't get back into the grove of things! lol I'm so disorganized and my house a disaster more often than not! I've been trying to get back where I used to be, but it seems I just haven't been able to.

Oh my gosh I hear what you're saying! Once you get behind in organization, it's hard to get back. I'm struggling with that right now with three kids and Christmas!! AAAAAAHHHH! But we're getting there. I have a plan now. And I'm really sorry to hear about your house. We went through a house fire when I was a freshman in college before I met my husband. I lost everything, and we had to rebuild the house because of the smoke damage. The smoke is really bad!! I'm glad to hear that you guys are OK though and back in your home.

I definitely want to check out NetFlix. Not having a tv is something that I ponder. I do like to watch the news and my husband likes to relax with it in the evening. But we sure would get to bed earlier without it!! I think about it... we certainly would save some money wouldn't we?

You would save money! lol We do the two DVDs in the mail at a time and unlimited on the internet, it costs us $14.83 a month. We are thinking about buying the Netflix box for $99. The box hooks to your TV and you can watch movies and TV shows on your TV unlimited. $99 isn't bad for a one time purchase, and if you have certain game systems or a blue ray DVD player you don't even have to purchase the box, you can watch directly through them. Here is the web page that shows all the different devices you can use: http://www.netflix.com/NetflixReadyDevicesList?lnkce=nrd-l&trkid=425738&lnkctr=nrd-l-m

You should do a post about you organization plan! I loved the post about your and your children's lists!
