Speaking the Truth

We don’t like to speak the truth about evil because we’re going to hurt somebody. Let me tell you, you are going to hurt somebody, but that Somebody is God. If you would rather hurt God than your neighbor, there is something wrong with your spirituality. It’s your obligation to speak the truth and everyone can either take it or leave it. But truth must be in us. We live in such poverty of the truth today.

Let Us Go With Him!

Who is the liar? Whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ. 1 John 2:22

Jesus is coming again, that's what is promised to us. He is going to come again to judge all of us, living and dead. So what do you think will happen if we stand before Him and have to explain why we did not believe? That we did not think He existed? That we did not trust Him and love Him enough to deny those liars?

I certainly don't want to have to do that! I'm so glad that I don't have to. My love and my trust for our Lord Jesus Christ is so firm at this point in my life that I feel there is nothing or no one that can change that. And when there are those things that arise in our lives that cause turmoil, don't turn your back on God. He is there for us, loving us. Let Him answer the devil's call. Let Him fight that battle for you. Keep your trust and belief in Him, no matter what happens, and we will be rewarded. We will be rewarded with the greatest gift we could ever have: Eternal life with God our Father.

Lord, I believe in everything You are, and everything You do. I believe in You completely and wait for the day I meet you.

So, do you believe that the only way to Heaven is through Jesus Christ alone and that you can not get to heaven by works alone?

Well yes. The way to Heaven is through Christ. He died on the cross for our sins and He is the way. But that doesn't mean that we get to live however we wish. We must pay attention to the way He lived and live like He lived. He was sent to us to save us and show us how to live.

Do you believe you can get there through work alone?

I don't know that I was very clear here. What I'm trying to say is that it is through our work, through our belief in Jesus, and His final judgment that we are able to make it into Heaven. I hope that makes sense. I'm still working at my faith lingo here!! :)

I'm sorry, I'm just trying to learn your point of view. I was just confirming that you believe in him. Because it seems that you do. I also believe that through Jesus Christ alone is the only way to heaven. Not through works, but without works faith is dead. James Chapter 2 describes this, this is something I'm still trying to understand and work on. I believe the KJV Holy Bible is the true divine word of God preserved for English speaking people. And I strive to live a Biblical life. And I was just concerned, because I've heard before that most Catholics don't believe in Jesus Alone, but that there are true Christians within the Catholic Church. I'm still striving to learn all I can about our Lord and Saviour. I feel that I am just truly getting started in my walk with Christ. I have been a Christian for many many years, but I feel that I was stuck at an infant stage up until the last several months. I feel that I'm just now growing and maturing in my walk with Christ. I'm glad that we have met, and I hope we can learn through each other and become great friends!

Hi SaChay! I'm still learning all this stuff too. I was baptized Catholic and had my First Holy Communion, but then my family stopped going to church. Just last March, I got myself confirmed by attending the RCIA classes at my church. And in lieu of the recent election, my faith in God and all I should be doing to get to Him has become very important to me.

I don't know of the Bible you read. I read the New American Bible. I'm not familiar yet with different versions. I understand that our views may be different, but I can tell you that there are many different kind of Catholics, even though there shouldn't be. We believe very strictly in our beliefs, but there are those out there who are often hypocritical or who choose not to follow certain things. And that gives us a bad name. But we do believe in Jesus, that's for sure. We very strongly believe in living like Him and the Holy Family. Since I have started to base my life on that, I have seen so many positive changes. I can truly feel Him with me in my journey back to Him. Works is a big part of my faith. If we are to live like Jesus, then we must take care of each other. So doing for the poor and less fortunate is important. But it's not any more important than believing. Having faith and believing encompasses many different things.

I too am glad we met! I love your blog. It's not too often that we see young women like you happy to be a homemaker. It's such a derogatory term these days. Hold true to your beliefs and take care of that husband of yours and your household and you will be doing God's work.

Hope to hear more from you!!
